Compare · Zenoo vs Onfido
Keep Onfido. Add the case.
Onfido, now known as Entrust, verifies identities. Its own documentation recommends a case management system for managing what happens to an applicant next. That is what Zenoo is: one case per customer, with every check on it and a person deciding.

| Identity checks | Document checks, four kinds of face match, NFC and known faces[2] | Runs the identity provider you choose, Onfido included |
| Workflow | Studio builds workflows across every provider you use, under your own credentials, not one vendor's checks | |
| Other providers | Through your own integration, using send and receive data tasks[3] | Keep the providers you have under your own contracts, and add others from the Marketplace |
| Screening | Watchlist reports for sanctions, PEPs and adverse media, with ongoing monitoring[4] | Runs your screening provider. Hits land in the Inbox with Zenoo's research |
| Companies | No business verification product in its documentation[1] | Reads the company and its owners from Companies House, maps the structure and screens every party |
| After the check | Its documentation recommends a separate case management system for managing applicant status[3] | That is Zenoo: one case per customer, the Inbox, tasks, and approval locked until the file is complete |
| UK certification | Certified against the UK digital verification services trust framework, DVSTF v0.4[5] | Runs certified identity providers. Zenoo is not itself an identity service provider |

Zenoo suggests. You decide.
On every case, Zenoo reads what your providers sent back and suggests the next step, with its sources. Nothing is cleared or approved until a person does it, and both are on the record.

Questions
Zenoo vs Onfido, asked and answered.
Is Zenoo an Onfido alternative?
For identity verification, no. Zenoo runs the identity provider you choose, Onfido included, and puts the result on one case with every other check for that customer. Your team then decides on the case, and the reason is kept on the record.
Is Onfido now Entrust?
Yes. Entrust's own documentation says that following the acquisition, Onfido is now known as Entrust. The identity products are now called Entrust Identity Verification and Workflow Studio.
Can we keep our Onfido contract?
Yes. Checks run under your own contract, and Zenoo receives the results onto the case.
Why add a case management system to Onfido?
Entrust's documentation says its manual decision step should not be used to manage applicant status, and recommends a case management system for that. Zenoo gives each applicant one case, with every check on it, an Inbox of what needs a person, and approval locked until the file is complete.
Does Zenoo verify identity documents itself?
No. Identity providers such as Onfido do the verification. Zenoo puts their results on the case, with the screening and company checks, for your team to decide.
