Overview
What is LuxTrust?
LuxTrust is Luxembourg's national digital identity and trust services provider. It is a Qualified Trust Service Provider under the EU eIDAS regulation, which means the electronic identification and signatures it issues are recognised across the European Union. It is widely used in Luxembourg for online public services, banking, and remote document signing.
A person authenticates with one of the LuxTrust devices: the LuxTrust Mobile app, the LuxTrust Scan device, or a smart card used with a card reader. Each device holds a cryptographic certificate that proves the person controls their credential. Since 2014, the national identity card has carried a LuxTrust chip, so the eID card itself can serve as the authentication device.
On a successful authentication, LuxTrust confirms the person's identity and can return verified attributes such as name to your service on consent. The same credential also supports a qualified electronic signature, so the person can sign onboarding documents in the same session.

Three steps
How it works
How verification works
The check runs in your flow. The result arrives where your team works.
Person authenticates with LuxTrust
The customer signs in with the LuxTrust Mobile app, the LuxTrust Scan device, or a smart card and consents to share their verified identity with your service.
Certificate verified and attributes returned
LuxTrust validates the cryptographic certificate on the device and confirms the person's identity, returning verified attributes such as name on consent.
Signals returned to your flow
A verified result and a full audit record flow straight into your Zenoo case, ready for a qualified electronic signature if you need one.

What your team sees
The LuxTrust result, beside everything else.
Verification sits with screening and review on one case, so nobody checks a second tool to see the whole customer.

FAQs
LuxTrust questions.
How do I verify a LuxTrust identity?
The person authenticates with a LuxTrust device, the mobile app, the Scan device, or a smart card, and consents to share their identity. LuxTrust validates the certificate and returns a verified result to your service, which Zenoo records with a full audit trail.
What is LuxTrust used for?

Is LuxTrust recognised outside Luxembourg?
Yes. LuxTrust is a Qualified Trust Service Provider under the EU eIDAS regulation, so the electronic identification and qualified signatures it issues are recognised in other EU member states.
Hands it to your team
Verification is the first step. Compliance Hub handles the rest.
Once a customer is verified, screening and review happen in Compliance Hub. A possible PEP match lands in your team inbox with the evidence and the full history beside it. Zenoo suggests, your team decides.
